GETTING STARTED WITH THE UNIVISION APP

  • WHAT IS THE UNIVISION APP?
  • The Univision app is a free streaming service that's included with your TV subscription for participating TV providers. With the Univision app you can watch Univision shows live or on demand, whenever and wherever you want; on your computer, phone, tablet, or TV.

  • HOW CAN I WATCH UNIVISION NETWORKS USING THE UNIVISION APP?
  • Just download the Univision App to access Univision content anywhere, anytime, on many devices. The Univision App is available for mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs, or you can also watch from your computer or mobile phone at tv.univision.com. An Internet connection (wifi or mobile broadband) and a subscription form a participating cable provider are required to use the Univision App.

  • WHICH DEVICES CAN I USE TO ACCESS THE UNIVISION APP?
  • The Univision App is currently available on the following devices with more coming soon:

    1. Mobile Apps: iOS and Android
    2. Connected TV devices: Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV and Android TV
    3. Chromecast via iOS, Android and web
    4. Desktop and laptops Computers
  • HOW DO I DOWNLOAD THE UNIVISION APP?
    1. iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Open the App Store app on your iOS device and search for Univision. Once found, tap Univision and then tap Get. Click Here on your iPhone or iPad to download the Univision App.
    2. Android phone, tablet, or TV – On your Android device, open the Play Store app and search for Univision. Once found, choose Install. Click Here on your Android phone or tablet to download the Univision App.
    3. Apple TV – Go to the Apple App store and search for Univision. Once found, choose the download icon. It should then appear on your Home Screen.
    4. Roku – Press the Home button on your Roku remote. Select Streaming Channels > Search Channels. Enter Univision. On the channel info page, select Add Channel.
    5. Amazon Fire TV - In the top menu of your device, select the 'Search' icon and type 'Univision'.
      Once found in the results, install. It should then appear on your Home screen.
    6. Computer – There isn't a Univision App for PC or Mac computers. Instead, you can stream Univision by visiting tv.univision.com and authenticating with your TV provider credentials.
  • CAN I USE MY TV PROVIDER TO WATCH UNIVISION NETWORKS WITHOUT THE UNIVISION APP?
  • Yes. Univision content is available to watch on your computer or mobile browser at tv.univision.com when using your TV provider credentials.

    If you do not have a TV Provider you can purchase a subscription via the Univision Now App to see content from Univision and Unimas live and on demand.

  • WHAT CHANNELS NETWORKS ARE AVAILABLE ON THE UNIVISION APP?
  • You can watch all the same Univision channels networks you get through your TV Service, both live and on demand. You can watch:

    1. Live streams of Univision, UniMás, TUDN and Galavisión 24 hours a day, in HD (when available). Access to these networks is limited to the networks included in your TV package.
    2. Current daytime and primetime programs are available on demand, the next day.
    3. The local stream of Univision stations in select markets (New York, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, San Francisco and Los Angeles).
    4. Exclusive digital channels with 24/7 streams of soccer highlights, horoscopes, news, novela recaps, and much more.
  • HOW CAN I WATCH UNIVISION LIVE?
  • Just log in with your username and password and navigate to the Live Networks. Also you can watch on the television or on the Univision Now App. 

  • IS THERE FREE CONTENT IN THE UNIVISION APP, AVAILABLE WITHOUT A TV SUBSCRIPTION?
  • Yes, the Univision App contains a selected number of full episodes and digital only channels that are available without a TV provider subscription.

  • WHAT IS THE COST TO WATCH UNIVISION NETWORKS IN THE UNIVISION APP?
  • Access is included with the cost of your cable TV or satellite subscription for participating TV providers.

  • IS THE UNIVISION APP AVAILABLE INTERNATIONALLY?
  • No. It is only available to customers of participating U.S. TV providers, watching in the US.

    HOW TO LOGIN

  • WHICH TV PROVIDERS CAN I USE TO ACCESS THE UNIVISION APP?
  • You first need a subscription that includes the Univision Networks with a cable or satellite TV provider.  Below is the current list of participating providers:

    7. Dish

    If you don't see your TV provider listed, check back with us soon. Our team is working to add more providers in the near future.

  • DO I HAVE TO CREATE A NEW TV PROVIDER ACCOUNT?
  • No, you can use your existing TV provider username and password. If you have not previously created an account with your TV provider, you will need to do so with a valid email address. Please contact your TV provider for more information on how to create your account.

  • HOW DO I VERIFY MY TV PROVIDER ACCOUNT?
  • It’s very easy! When prompted, select your TV provider from the menu and enter your TV Provider username and password.

  • WHAT HAPPENS IF I FORGOT MY USERNAME AND / OR MY PASSWORD?
  • Most TV providers offer a simple way to retrieve or recreate your information. Please contact your TV provider to learn more.

  • HOW DO I LOGIN TO THE UNIVISION APP ON MY TV?
    1. Go to the App store on your TV and download the Univision App (available on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV and Android TV)
    2. Open the UnivisionApp and choose “Sign In” from the setting page
    3. You should see a 6-digit code. Stay on this screen while you grab your phone or a computer.
    4. On your phone or a computer, open a web browser. In your browser's address bar, type the URL you see on your TV
    5. Enter the code that appears on your TV.
    6. Choose your TV provider.
    7. Sign into your TV provider account (enter the username and password for your TV provider account). Don't know your username or password? Contact your TV provider.
  • HELP! I CAN’T LOGIN!
  • First, make sure you have the correct username and password. It's the same username and password that you use to log in to your TV provider's website or pay your bill online. If problems persist, try different browsers and devices or feel free to contact us at support@univision.com.

  • I AM HAVING TROUBLE ACTIVATING MY DEVICE
  • First, make sure your device is connected to the internet and you have the correct username and password. If you are getting errors about your login information or that you are not authorized, and you typically login to apps through a cable or satellite provider, then you will want to reach out to your TV Provider for assistance in resolving.

  • WHY ISN'T MY TV PROVIDER LISTED?
  • We are actively working to add additional TV providers to the service. If you don't see your provider listed, contact them directly to let them know you would like access to Univision Networks and check back later to see if your provider has been added.

    PRODUCT FEATURES

  • CAN I STREAM THE UNIVISION APP/NETWORKS ON MULTIPLE DEVICES AT ONE TIME? IF SO, HOW MANY?
  • Yes, you can watch with the Univision App on more than one device at a time. The maximum number of devices you can use at the same time varies based on your specific TV provider.

    Contact your TV provider for a specific answer on the maximum number of devices allowed.

  • CAN I ACCESS MY LOCAL STATION?
  • Yes. The Univision App will stream live local streams from New York, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Atlanta, and San Francisco stations to users in those cities. Users not located in one of those cities will see the live national stream with network programming. The Univision app is location based so you cannot access a local station if you are not that city. For example, you cannot watch the Los Angeles station if you are in New York.

  • WHAT IS 3-DAY REPLAY (DVR)?
  • Our DVR feature allows you to instantly watch / pause / rewind most programs from the past 3 days (72 hours) of the live stream using the program guide. You can access the 3-day replay by viewing a live network and clicking the green button “Shows from the last 3 days” Then just navigate to the show you’d like to watch and press play watch what you missed.   • IS CLOSED CAPTIONING AVAILABLE?
  • Yes, closed captioning is available for live TV, 3-day replay and on demand shows.

  • IS UNIVISION APP AVAILABLE IN HD?
  • Yes, as long as your device and connection’s bandwidth are capable of accessing HD content.

  • CAN I VIEW THE UNIVISION APP IN ENGLISH?
  • Yes, the Univision App is available in English. You can change the language setting in the menu or at the bottom of the web page. Please note the content will remain in Spanish.

  • WHEN ARE NEW EPISODES AVAILABLE?
  • Full Episodes are typically available the day after they air on television.
